We welcome enquiries from prospective full-time and part-time research students. Please read the brochure and then email your prospective supervisor. We are currently seeking students in the following areas:

• Quantum mechanics; Condensed matter physics (Michael Wilkinson)
• Aperiodically ordered systems (Uwe Grimm)
• Inverse problems, especially the biomagnetic inverse problem (Robert Hasson)
• Modelling electronic quantum effects of magnetic multilayers and other nanostructures (Andrey Umerski)
• Statistical mechanics, phase transitions and critical phenomena (Paul Upton)

The group organises the annual Open Statistical Physics meeting in March.
